You can have your stream checked as often as you like! However our standard packages check the stream once during each of the following intervals:

• Free Availability Monitoring – 60 minutes
• Basic Availability Monitoring – 15 minutes
• Intermediate Availability Monitoring – 10 minutes
• Advanced Availability Monitoring – 5 minutes
• Custom Availability Monitoring – As often as every 5 seconds
• Payload Monitoring – Constantly

When a stream is checked for availability, our systems connect to the streaming server only long enough to confirm that the stream is up or down.

If your stream includes Payload monitoring, then the stream is monitored continuously to check if the audio and/or video is valid. If the monitoring server loses connection to your stream it will automatically reconnect.

For Intermediate, Advanced, Custom and Payload monitoring, you can configure schedules that will monitor the stream only during the periods you set.
