Windows Media, MP3 Audio Video Monitoring Beta

Windows MediaWe’re almost there! Now in beta we have frozen video and audio silence detection for your Windows Media and MP3 streams. You’re stream could be perfectly happy spitting out silent, empty content to your customers because the source feeding your media encoder has failed. Now you can be warned immediately if your source is down before your customers grow angry. Contact us to help beta test this new service that ONLY Stream Alerts provides!

  • Stream Groups for organization and notification of different contacts.
  • Variable alert intervals for contacts ranging from 1 minute to 1 hour.
  • Timezones so that your date and times are local

Flash Audio and Video Monitoring Beta

FlashWe’re getting close to launching a new product that provides quality monitoring of Flash streams, but we need your help! Fill out our contact form and submit your Flash stream for testing. Preferably live streams, but we can also work with on-demand files as well.

Our Quality Monitoring includes features that none of our competitors offer! We monitor your stream for Audio Silence with the ability to notify you if the sound drops below a set threshold for a given period of time. We can also watch for Frozen Video and send you an alert if there are problems with your feed. We’ll also monitor your stream continuously 24/7 or on a cyclical basis if you prefer. New Stream Monitoring Node!

We’ve partnered with EGI Hosting to offer a new stream monitoring node located in California, USA. Sign in to your control panel and add or modify your stream settings to use the new node.

Finally, Internet in the Car

Chrysler announced that they are building Internet access into their vehicles starting this year. This means that users can now access your streams anytime they want! Read more at the Washington Post. Better make sure your stream is available.

New Stream Failure Information

Stream Alerts users can now view error codes and messages returned from their servers or encoders during a stream failure to help diagnose stream problems.  > More

Login Accounts

Additional Login Accounts are now available for Advanced and Custom accounts. Give your staff, customers or friends access to your Stream Alerts control panel with limited rights.  > More

Scheduled Monitoring

New Scheduled Monitoring available for Advanced account users. If you have streams that are only available for certain periods of time, you can set a monitoring schedule in the Stream Alerts control panel. The system is in a beta mode right now and I appreciate any feedback you can give.  > More
