Payload Monitoring Upgrade with Quality Metrics

We are please to roll out a big upgrade to our Payload Monitoring system that provides much more information to help you diagnose audio and video problems. We’re able to decode many more streams including Real, Quicktime, AAC and OGG feeds. You can view the current bitrate, buffer and playback times as well as current audio levels or video deviation. And we have graphs!

Control Panel Update

We’ve made a few small changes to the Control Panel to accomodate the new Payload upgrades. You can now see your stream’s Availability as percent of up-time and wer’e starting to use graphs. Follow the jump to find out what’s new.

New Payload Monitoring Beta

Ogg Vorbis now on Stream Alerts!To improve the range and quality of our Payload monitoring, we are testing out a new system that provides greater detail about your streams including the average audio level, video deviation and streamint bitrates. The new system can also decode Ogg Vorbis along with RTSP streams! Contact us for a trial of the new service.

Windows MediaWe’re almost there! Now in beta we have frozen video and audio silence detection for your Windows Media and MP3 streams. You’re stream could be perfectly happy spitting out silent, empty content to your customers because the source feeding your media encoder has failed. We monitor your stream for Audio Silence with the ability to notify you if the sound drops below a set threshold for a given period of time.
